What is ePortfolio?
ePortfolio is a learning portfolio created in electronic format. It consists of a personal electronic record containing information such as personal development plans (PDP's), collection of achievements, skills / competencies acquired, reflective notes and learning outcomes. The information within the ePortfolio can be displayed to the owner of the ePortfolio and trainers and organisations to whom the learner has granted access.
The Premier ePortfolio Solution
The Premier ePortfolio system is an online solution to evidencing learning outcomes. The ePortfolio software solution supports personal development planning (PDP) and facilitates the development of skills necessary for life-long learning. The ePortfolio solution has the flexibility be configured to reflect bespoke curriculum requirements as well as integrated with existing membership / HR databases and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
The benefits of ePortfolio
The ePortfolio framework can accomodate different component tools, terminology and learning outcomes/skills. The ePortfolio framework also supports learner-focused features such as granting others access to specific sections of the portfolio. PDP tools within the ePortfolio can support the learner-teacher relationship.
The Premier ePortfolio software solution enables the learner to record and reflect on their achievements on an on-going basis and to promote pro-active personal development and career planning. Learning outcomes and statements on how they have applied their learning can also be recorded. Records can then be cross-referenced with one or more skills or competencies to help build up a structured record learning and development. A CV tool is also included in the ePortfolio with sections on qualifications, employment, presentations, publications and teaching which can be cross-referenced with the skills framework. An ePortfolio of learning evidence can also be generated as supporting evidence to learning activity.
